In Cactus Clouds, I followed colour first — letting warm coral, blush, sand and sun-faded greens build a loose landscape that feels both earthy and airborne. Pale, cloud-like veils drift across the surface, while layered line work loops and curls like cactus arms reaching upward through shifting light.

The composition plays with contrast: airy washes against confident marks, delicate pastel tones beside rich bursts of pink and ember. Scattered blue dots add rhythm and sparkle, like raindrops, wild berries, or a sudden clarity of sky — little punctuation marks that bring the whole piece alive.
